FiberSmooth is a material from the PVB family. Its greatest advantage is its ease of processing, which involves smoothing it with isopropyl alcohol (IPA). When immersed in the liquid or exposed to its vapours, the model partially dissolves, allowing the outer contours to bond better and hide the boundaries between layers. At the same time, the entire model gains a porcelain-like, glossy surface. 3D printing with FiberSmooth can be compared to PLA. It is a print-friendly material and is ideal for beginner printers. However, it should be noted that the adhesion between layers is weaker, so we recommend a higher bed temperature to prevent the model from peeling off. PVB has low shrinkage and is odourless.
